My visit last year to the National Portrait Gallery London, has inspired me to do more portraits. I am standing next to a portrait of William Wilberforce by Sir Thomas Lawrence, oil on canvas, 1828. Between 1787 and 1833, Wilberforce led Britain's campaign to abolish slavery.
